Early Years Foundation

In Class 1 we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We teach and develop the children’s learning through a board range of activities which take place both inside and outside of the classroom.  We provide a rich and exciting learning environment to promote learning skills and a love of school.

Learning in Class 1 is secured through the opportunities created for the children through child initiated activities and adult-led activities of which play and observation play a vital role in creating a curriculum tailored to the class.

The Early Years Foundation Stage has 7 areas of learning. These are:
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Literacy
 - Maths
 - Understanding the world
- Art & Design

We love to learn in EYFS by playing and exploring, being active and through creative and critical thinking both indoors and outdoors.
